How to add custom letters into the field order?

Post by winterycoder »

Hello, I would like to ask a question about adding custom letters to Field Order.
The format of the citation I want to insert is like this, Author. Title[J]. Journal, Year|, Volume|(Issue)|: Pages|.

I entered it in field order like this: a. t[J]. j, d, v(i): p-.

This [J] will be recognized by Bookend as a journal name, so the journal name will appear twice(J and j)_. Is there any way to avoid this, so that Bookend does not recognize this [J].

I've already answered your query to tech support (no need to do that and then post on the forum), but for those reading this, I'd use the $ quoted text delimiter:

a. t[$J$]. j, d, v(i): p-.

Thank you Jon,

I was thinking that maybe some other users would see it.
Thank you so much for your prompt reply. With the help of the answer, I found the appropriate section in the manual and I think it's time to ditch my other reference software.
