I’m using cloud sync. When I add notes to the pdf they are not syncing, although the note stream does sync if I add the note to the stream when in the iOS app.

This means that the PDF file itself wasn't synced. Are you using Cloud or Wi-Fi sync method? If Cloud Sync please find your PDF file in the Bookends iCloud folder in Files.app on iOS, do you see your annotations there?

Thanks, I figured out that I need to change the folder for the attachments to iCloud if I use cloud sync. I think it's fine now.
