Default Zoom for PDFs

Post by roger »

When I move to a new reference, PDFs are displayed so that the whole of the first page is displayed. This is not a problem as pressing Cmd-+ two or three times usually zooms in to the width of the document. But it would be very convenient if there was a way to set the default so that it zooms in so as to fit the width of the document to the window? This would be particularly useful when scrolling between a lot of documents. There is so much in BE that it would not surprise me if it were available, but hidden away somewhere.

The reason I would like the default zoom to be different is that my screen is landsacpe format, but typical documents are portrait, and when the whole page is displayed, the text can be a bit small.

If you use the action pop-up menu to set to Automatically Resize the PDF will be set to fill the viewing pane and will be remembered between launches.
