a little help with the config of a format

Post by danzac »

Hi Jon. I am trying to configure my SBL format for Book to cover everything that may be part of the info; translator, editors, reprinting, edition, etc. Here is what it looks like;
a, t ($ed++. $e; $trans. $c; x; l: u, d$; repr., $g),

I am not sure what to do specifically for the info next to the open bracket and close bracket. If there is no editor, then the open bracket is being taken out, likewise for close bracket after the reprint info (g). Is the best solution to put force quotes around the brackets? Thanks.

Yes: if there is an element that you always want next to one that may be missing, force it with `

Example:

`(`a`)`
