Question about bibliography-possibilities

Post by NewBookendsUser »

Hi everyone,

after fixing almost every bibliography or citation problem I encountered, one still remains:

Is it possible to achieve the following automatically one way or the other in the bibliography:

Miller (2004) ..., in Meyer (2004) 67-78
Harris (2004) ..., in Meyer (2004) 31-53
Meyer, ed. (2004) Full entry

instead of:

Miller (2004) ..., in Meyer, Full entry, 67-78
Harris (2004) ..., in Meyer, Full entry, 31-53

The details of punctuation etc. are of no importance here.

Thanks in Advance!

This really belongs in the Bookends form, not the Formats forum (which is intended for format exchange).

Nonetheless, I'll answer here. I think what you're looking is for reference metatypes, which allow you to combine information from two different crosslinked references into one formatted bibliography (or footnote) entry. Please take a look at the User Guide (Help menu) for how references are crosslinked and metatype formats created.
