New user: how to have citation display a, b, etc after year

Post by bmalin »

My bibliography has multiple entries for an author in a single year. These references include journal articles and books. I'm able to generate the reference list to display, for example, an article as 1962a, and a book as 1962b.

However, I am not yet seeing how to have an in text citation indicate the a or b, and therefore the specific work. For now they display only the year.

I've read through the manual as best I could but couldn't discover how to do it. I'm using author-date for citations. I looked at custom but didn't find a field that would appear to handle it.

Thanks in advance for your help.

That's done automatically when you scan a document. If you find that's not the case please contact tech support (support@sonnysoftware.com).

Ah, I see. All good. I'd scanned a sample document that didn't have both references. Thanks again very much.
