Hi,
as Booxter (http://www.deepprose.com/) is able to search in the Japanese NDL's (=National Diet Library) OPAC, i was wondering if someone knows a method to import data from NDL from the internet search function inside Bookends, too.
By the way, the Waseda University offers a z39 access to several OPACs:
http://wine.wul.waseda.ac.jp:211/z39m
Also http://jibooks.est.co.jp/ offers a kind of cross catalogue search.

I, too, would be interested to know, if there is one already.

Just checked the FTP site, but no filter yet. How hard is it to create such filters? Or might it be easier to just use WorldCat, save records as .ris files, then import them into BE?

Thanks. どおもありがと

Hello

I am having the same questions and I wondered if you ever got any answer and if you found a solution to this issue. I have a very limited understanding of filters but wish I could still get data out of Japanese library.

Thank you

I tried to make a filter for the National Diet library, but with the settings I found on the Internet I get no matches (I'm searching in English, perhaps that's the problem?).

In any case, you should write to the library and ask them what the z39.50 settings should be (on the Internet tab of the Bookends filter). The most important info you need is

server address
port
database name
