How do I actually add the downloaded import filters?

Post by over »

Hi folls,
I just downloaded the google scholar import filter, but now I'm stuck because I just can't add it (at least I don't know how). I double-clicked it several times, but it just won't appear in the import filter manager.

Cheers

Hi,

You put the filter in Bookends 10 Folder/Import Filters Folder (I'd put it there, not in the custom folder, because that way you benefit if we upgrade it). Then enable it with File -> Import Filters Manager.

Note that this filter is intended for use with the Bookends Google Scholar Online Search, which isn't available yet (it will be a feature in the next release). But you can use it with the current Reference Miner 3.1 (drag and drop from RM 3.1 to a database window).
