The existing CSA filter is close but garbles the fields in PsycInfo searches, primarily because of a Source definition that doesn't match the search results. So I tried to modify it and it seems works OK for journal articles, but CSA uses the same field, SO: differently as a function of the type of reference. Two illustrative examples:

These were both taken from the same PsycInfo search. Has anyone figured out a way to handle this using the Bookends import filter model?

Bookends doesn't process records differently based on reference type. One solution for you would be to define a second Source, and pre-process your download to change the source tag for your secondary (meaning less represented) reference Type. For example, add a 1 to it (SO1:) (in a word or text processor) and define an SO1: source parser in Bookends. It will be a little bit of extra work, but you should be successful imports.
