Has anyone created a new filter for the New York Public Library? They have changed their interface, and I haven't succeeded in getting in via Bookends since then, though I've tried changing the URL.

I don't know if it uses the same servers, but the New York State Library is currently unavailable:

You might contact the NYPL and see if their z39.50 service is working, and if so what are the current settings (I didn't see updated settings in a Google search).

Unfortunately, it seems that the NYPL, though accessible to me through a regular browser, is no longer accessible in other ways. Here's the message I got from them:

We regret to inform you, that there has been a change of library policy, The New York Public Library will only be be able to accommodate requests from other New York State institutions. You may wish to review the following page for access to otherinstitutions via their Z39.50 access gateways.Library of Congress information found at:http://www.loc.gov/z3950/agency/resources/testport.html

This may have something to do with your experience with the State library. In any case, am I correct in assuming this means we can't access the NYPL through Bookends?

Thanks.

This is a very old post, but I thought I'd mention that the next update of Bookends (13.1.4) will contain an import filter for the NYPL.
