OPAC and/FIS-Bildung

Post by peko »

Hello together,

I'd be quite interested in an importfilter for the opacs (which are used at least at many german libraries (like dbb or stabi). did anyone of you manage to create such an import-filter. I tried but it seems as if I don't understand the way I have to create a working import-filter.
The same problem but indeed even more special: Is there anyone who has an import-filter for the FIS-Bildungs Datenbank?

thanks in advance

Have you tried the VÖBB and GBV/GVK filters? They are included in the Bookends distribution.

[edit: spelling error, wrongly wrote DBV/DVK]

You should try the GBV. Also HEBIS is very good. Apart from that you should contact the IT people of FIS and ask whether they allow bibliography applications such as Endnote or Bookends to access their database. Even if they don't they might offer a way to save your search results in a file format Bookends understands. This is the case with KOBV (all Berlin Universities!) that allows to save as RIS.

Thanks a lot for your recommendations. I'll try. The KOBV- hint is very interesting.
