Where should I put BE library to get sync with icloud?

Post by rraiszadeh »

The Bookends folder in icloud with its logo is set and I have copied all my pdf attachments from my Mac to it. However I could not figure out what next I should do to make my Bookends library accessible for syncing inthe iCloud. Should I copy the.dbd file to the same folder in icloud?

No, leave it where Bookends puts it (or where you did before cloud sync). The library sync is NOT a file sync -- just the data needed to by synced is uploaded/downloaded. Leave the file alone, you do not want your library *file* synced.

Please see the Bookends for iOS User Guide -- the entire sync process is explained, with images.

Dear Jon

I read the user guide line by line once more. But could not still figure it out.

My pdf files are in the Bookends folder in the iCloud drive. My library file is on my Mac in its usual location.

I tap the three dots in the Bookends for IOS and then press "Switch local library" and then "Sync with existing library in the cloud". But I cannot find the library that I have on my Mac there. I assume I should bring this library to the syncing process somehow.

Really appreciate your help.

Yes, the library on your Mac should be synced to the cloud first.
Click on the cloud icon in Bookends to upload your library to the cloud.
