On the annotate tool bar, what is the 10th item down that looks like a dashed square?
I was hoping this was a way to copy figures from my pdf and paste them into GoodNotes, but all I get is a shaded area drawn with my Apple Pencil that then goes away when I lift my pencil.

What is this tool supposed to do???

It's a Multi-selection Button to select a group of annotations to move, delete, group together, etc.

Many thanks. So, I guess there’s no easy way to copy elements in the PDF and paste them into another app?

Never mind, realize now that it’s a lot easier to just bring the PDF into GoodNotes and copy figures from there.
