I think sidebars are nice and would make navigating the app (and one’s various folders/groups) a lot easier—essentially it might look a little closer to the mac. With iPadOS as a whole moving to sidebars, any chance we see them in the next iteration of the Bookends app?

Sure, sidebar will be added but not with iOS 14 release. There are some changes in the project we should make first to enable this feature.
