Hi Jon,
Amongst the defined parameters Bookends uses to compare duplicating references in a database, is there any possibility to also compare the Notes column where users might have possibly added their own notes for the reference at some point?
The current parameters used are very general and might not be user generated content, which could be what users are searching for to keep in their database. And when the remove duplicates window is open, there is no chance of going back to the main database window to double check if there are any notes written regarding that reference.
Thanks!
Sean
Comparing reference duplicates thru user generated notes
Re: Comparing reference duplicates thru user generated notes
Hi,
Bookends let's you do that now.
Perform a Remove Duplicates, and if there are any click "Preview and Verify". Bookends will show you both references, listing any field in which there is text, and highlighting ones that are different (if any).

Hi Jon,
Thanks for your explanation. What about the static group the reference is in?
I don't see any information of that. And I rely heavily on those group folders to organize my different topics.
Is there anyway of displaying that?
Thanks!

No, because that's not part of the reference record. It would be possible to implement, but it's not now.
