import woes...any suggestions?

Post by greenmonkeyblue »

I've tried to import from downloads from the University of Minnesota (http://www.lib.umn.edu/library) in both .exl and .end format ("Standard" and "Citation Manager"), but no luck. I'm using the RIS filter, and OS X 10.5.6 on a MacBook Pro. The downloaded files show up in faded font ("you can't get this" font) in the import dialog box when I try.

Anyone out there know of another filter I should be using? Or is there something else I should be doing?

This is weird. I could have sworn that importing was a breeze a couple of months ago.

Thanks!

You should contact your library and ask if the references can be downloaded in a tagged text file format (like RIS).
