Hi all,
For those in biomedical research who have an iPhone/iPod Touch, there's a new application you might find of interest, PubMed On Tap. See this announcement on this forum:

Note that PubMed On Tap is not developed by Sonny Software, but by References On Tap (http://referencesontap.com), so any queries about the product should go to that developer, not us. Having said that, we are working with the developer to create a product Bookends users will like, so feel free to discuss it in relationship with Bookends on this forum.

iPhone, PubMed On Tap, and Bookends
Re: iPhone, PubMed On Tap, and Bookends
I'm not in a biomedical field but I find the concept of working with an iPod touch or iPhone very attractive. The idea of being able to email reference info from an iPhone to a Mac (mentioned in the thread linked to) is a great one.
Re: iPhone, PubMed On Tap, and Bookends
I believe there are plans to extend the sources beyond PubMed. If you (or anyone reading this) has ideas or requests for particular sources or features, the developer is open to suggestions.

Re: iPhone, PubMed On Tap, and Bookends
I've just been over to references on tap, and suggested support for CiteULike, on the assumption that this wouldn't be too difficult to do, as everything is exportable in BibTeX and RIS formats. We'll see if anything comes of it.
Getting a bit carried away here, but could this be the killer app that leads to mass adoption of the iPhone in academe?

I'm sure the developer of PubMed on Tap (or whatever ) would like that. :-)
