I've discussed this a bit with Jon, but I wanted to ask here as well. Sometimes, inexplicably, selecting a reference with an attachment and then typing command-shift-O to open the attachment does nothing. Double-clicking on the preview (or the list item) of the attachment in the Inspector *always* works, and quitting and relaunching Bookends will restore the ability to open the attachment via command-shift-O. The attachments in question are definitely set to open with Preview.

Has anyone else seen this problem?

The shortcut works as long as the selected reference has focus in list view. If the highlight color is gray (focus lost) because you clicked into a field in the right panel or the attached PDF then the shortcut will not work.

Thanks, but I don't think that the problem is a loss of focus.
