Newbie problem with bibliography format

Post by daniel.bs »

Good Day,

id like my references to look like this:

in the text:
(Grassi G, 2003)

in the bibliography:
Grassi G, Seravalla G, Turri C et al. Short-versus long-term effects of different dihydropyridines on sympathetic and baroreflex funtion in hypertension. Hypertension 2003; 41: 558-62

Thank you for your help. I just cant figure it out.

To do this you'd have to create a custom citation format (to deal with the in-text citation). The custom format would look like this

a, d

And you'd tell Bookends to output the author name surname first (Doe, John) and use initials.

You'd instruct your "master" format, the one that creates the bibliography, to use this new custom format that you made (and named).

See APA 5th as an example of a custom citation format. And look up "custom citation format" in the user guide for more detailed information.
