Bug in 11.0.2 ?

Post by macula »

I suspect there is a newly introduced bug in this latest update:

PDF attachments are displayed normally in the bottom pane of the list view window if the 'attachments' button is pressed. The reference window, however, only displays the proper PDF if and only if the 'attachments' button in the *list view* window is pressed. In the opposite case, the reference window displays the PDF most recently displayed in the list view window (or 'nothing to display,' if no such PDF exists) rather than the PDF of the reference at hand.

I have verified my database and it appears to be error-free.

Thank you.

Hi, yes, that bug was introduced when I removed the WebKit display from the reference window. I've been out of town all day, but I fixed it as soon as I got back and a silent update has been uploaded. Please download Bookends 11.0.2 again and confirm that the bug has been fixed.

Yes, Jon, the silent update did fix the bug.

Thank you.

I still have this bug in 11.0.2 for attached movies (pdf is indeed solved). 11.0.1 worked fine.

There was no followup, but I looked into this. The movie display required WebKit, which was removed from the reference window (as per all the discussion in this thread and others). I'll see if I can add viewing of attached movies to the List View window for the next update.
