I'm a new user having trouble getting Bookends to insert a temporary citation into the document I'm working on in Scrivener. I try to do this by selecting the reference in 'list view', then pressing command-option-Y. This used to work for me, but now it just switches me back into Scrivener without inserting the citation.
Edit: I've just discovered that the citation isn't getting copied to the clipboard, as Command-V following the switch just pastes whatever the last bit of text I copied.
Stats:
MacBook, 2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, 4 GB RAM
Bookends version 11.1.2
Scrivener version 2.0.4
Trouble-shooting to date:
Rebuilt database
Restarted Bookends
Restarted Scrivener
Rebooted computer
Looked through documentation and preferences settings in both applications
New user trouble inserting temporary citation
Resolved
Thanks to Jon from tech support. I had the wrong key combination. Command-Y switches back to my word processor and inserts the temporary citation. Command-Option-Y, which I was using, switches back to my word processor without copying the citation.
