Online search bug

Post by DonRamiro »

Hello,

Bookends added, now from some versions, the online search in the RERO catalog (Switzerland french-speaking part of the universities' libraries' catalog), and that's really great. Alas, there's a very annoying bug preventing it from being really useful :
When I do a search in the RERO catalog from bookends, if my search terms contains more than one term, Bookends returns "malformed search term". So for instance, a search with :

Classicisme
Will work, but

Classicisme Forestier
Will return "malformed search term"

I tried with the quotes, like :
"Classicisme Forestier"
But then it returns "invalid query".

Obviously, it makes it quite difficult, depending on the term used, to find a particular book reference. Is there's something to do ?

Thanks a lot (sorry for my quite bad english),
Christophe

That's a limitation of their z39.50 provider. You can search for multiple terms by separating them with an underscore instead of a space:
