Bookends freezes

I use Bookends on my iMac and my MacBook Pro since a long time, and I love it. Regularly I sync both databases without major problems. Since the last update I can't run Bookends on my iMac without having my MacBook Pro running. Bookends always asks for the server "MacBook Pro" and tells me that the connection to the server has failed. Then in freezes and it is not possible to make entries until I connect my MacBook. Do you have any idea to stop that? A rebuild of my database didn't do it.

Try clearing your Recent Database menu (File -> Open). If that doesn't do it, see if Sync is set to work on launch/quit. If so, deselect those options.
