JSTOR broken again?

Post by danad »

Importing from JSTOR was working fine for me last week. This week, however, I can't seem to get anything to import, neither from the JSTOR browser nor the Bookends browser. Have they changed something yet again?

Yes, they changed things again. Download Bookends 11.1.4 again, I uploaded a build yesterday that should work again with JSTOR and Bookends Browser.

Hi Jon, I'm using the build you uploaded yesterday; but when importing from JSTOR using the Bookends browser, journal titles and volume(issue) info is not being processed, that is, the "Journal" and "Vol(Issue)" fields are empty.

Hi,

It's working for me. Please contact me off-forum and tell me what search you are doing, and where you "are" when you try the green icon/import (in the view of the first 20 hits, or in the view of the actual single reference -- this is important).

Sorry to sound like a broken record, but JSTOR must have fiddled with things (yet) again.

I can run a search and get results, but when I try to import any of the hits, nothing ends up in the database.

It looks like the import via Bookends Browser in the single paper view is broken and I'll have to fix it. However, importing from the multiple hits view (where all the matching refs are shown) or from direct JSTOR searches (not via the built in browser) work.

I've fixed the JSTOR import in the singe ref view for the next update.
