Multiple desktops

Post by aechallu »

I'm setting Bookends to work in one Desktop, but when I open a reference in separate window, the reference window opens in a different desktop (apparently the one where the program I was using before Bookends was working on). Is there a way to enforce all BE windows to work in just one desktop?

I'm not sure from your description exactly what you're asking for. But my guess is the answer is no (since it's not behaving as you want).

To put it in other words: I would like to have BE open dependent windows within one assigned desktop and not in other desktops. OSX (Lion at least) has a feature to make all the windows of an application open in only one desktop. From a user perspective it's accessed through the Dock, under Options, "Assign to this desktop". What I'm saying is that this option doesn't work as expected in BE. Makes sense?

Yes, I see. I can look into it, but I'm not sure I can do anything about it.

I could not reproduce your problem in Lion. If you want to follow up, please contact tech support (support@sonnysoftware.com) with step by step instructions telling me what I should do to mimic your setup and what to do to see the problem.
