Open attached keyboard shortcut when focus is in edit pane

With the newish edit pane integrated with list view (which is wonderful, by the way, I find it a real improvement), when the focus is is in a field of the edit pane, the Open Attached keyboard shortcut doesn't work. Could it be allowed? I can't see that there is any danger of ambiguity in what reference's attachments would get opened.
