Importing citations from .pages document

Post by booknewb »

Hi all,

I currently have a .pages document with approximately 1,000 references cited from pubmed. They are in the Author, Title, Journal format. Is there any way to have Bookends look through my document and pull out the references and add them to Bookend's reference library? I imagine this is not possible, but it would sure be nice.

If they have dois, and if CrossRef can resolve them, then you can probably import at least some of them using

File -> Import From Existing Bibliography

Note that CrossRef balks at processing lots of references at a time, so I'd do this in batches of 100 or so (there is a monthly limit of 1000).
