Bookends changes Filename

Hello,

actually I've the new problem, that attaching a file to a bookends-reference as link (without copying it to the attachment folder) always results in changing the file name: Always a three-digit-number is added by Bookends, f. e. "Hafen (1990).pdf" results in "Hafen (1990) 183.pdf". I didn't set the option "rename attachment", so I don't know, why this happens - I'm pretty sure, that this behaviour is new, as it worked for me in former times.

In consequence, my DEVONthink-Database can't find this file any longer - so the attachment-feature for me is useless, because I don't want to have two different versions of every file, but only a link to the file in my Bookends-Database.

Any ideas?

Please contact tech support directly. And include a screen snap of the Attach dialog that comes up when you make the attachment.
