can't open format definition

hi!
i am trying to evaluate bookends. however, i do not get it to work properly.
when i try to scan a word document, i get a "can't open format definition! err=301" message.
also, i can not edit or create new formats. when i click on "edit" in the formats window, nothing happens.

one possible (?) cause for problems: i get an error message when unzipping the file i downloaded from the website, towards the end, however i can still mount the .dmg-file and install bookends.

Hi Matti,

Try updating to Unstuffit 9 (www.allume.com) and download/unstuff again. We made a silent update a few days ago and used Stuffit 9 to make the archive -- I think it gives some folks with older versions of Unstuffit problems (very annoying!). If you still have problems with unstuffing after this, please let me know and we'll upload a new archive.
