Manual and Automatic Cited Pages

Post by Nhaps »

I created a specific journal type in which I input the cited page(s) and the punctuation manually (required by SBL style) and that serves me well. The question is: how to have BE automatically output total cited pages when I do not input any page? I would appreciate tips on how to tweak Format Manager in that regard.

You mean total pages, not "total cited pages", right?

In the format, put

p

or

p-

where you want the pages to go. If you use @ in the temp citation for specific cited pages, the total pages (or page range in the latter case) will be supressed.

Yes, exactly, I meant "total pages". I used "p-" after I read this email, but somehow it's not working. Gotta take a look at what's wrong...
