italicized et al. with author in front -- a bug?

Post by ttasovac »

Hi.

My custom citation looks like this:

Code: Select all

a {u11/}d
I have checked to use et al. if > 2 Authors/eds after first name AND that et. al should be italicized.

If, under these conditions, when entering a citation into Mellel, I also choose the option to put the author in front, the citation will look like this:

Goebel et al. (1995)

in other words, "et al." is properly italicized, but so is the opening parenthesis.

Can you reproduce this? And, if yes, is this a Bookends or a Mellel bug?

It's Bookends. I'll take a look.
