SOLVED: "Ambiguous citation" not working in BE12?

Post by hackido »

I've in my bibliography publications of the same author in the same year. Normally, in this case there's in the citation- and bibliography-view a letter appended beside the year. This setting is also activated in the Format-Manager, Citation Options -> "For ambiguous citations: Append letter to year". But it makes no difference, if this is activated or not: there's no letter appended… (in BE11 I remember, that it worked…). Thx for help.

Yes, appending letters to dates of otherwise ambiguous citations is broken. It works for citations in Mellel, but not in the bibliography. I've fixed that now. It doesn't work at all in Word, but I've fixed that for the bibliography. Now citations have to be fixed. It's a complicated algorithm, so may take a bit of time. I'll post here when it's done.

I think this is fixed now. There will be a silent update by 7 PM today (June 21). Please download Bookends 12 after that and give it a try. If you still see problems with disambiguation by the addition of a letter to the year contact tech support directly with details.
