Hits list + unmatched citations problem!!
Hits list + unmatched citations problem!!
There may be a simple solution to this (fingers crossed!), but I accidentally hit "clear hits list" in Bookends and when I went to "scan document" in the bibliography tab in Mellel, just about every citation came back as "unmatched citation". I really don't want to have to go through 600 citations; is there a simple way to fix this?!?!?
Re: Hits list + unmatched citations problem!!
These are completely unrelated (and clearing the hits list never causes a problem, unless you were (mistakenly) keeping a list of reference there for an extended period). Make sure you're scanning with the same library that was used to insert the citations.

Re: Hits list + unmatched citations problem!!
I'm pretty sure its the correct reference file/library. Is there any way of knowing which list Mellel is using? If it is the correct file, is there another reason why Mellel might not recognise the citations? Sorry for the pesky questions...
Re: Hits list + unmatched citations problem!!
Look at one of the Mellel citations that's not matching. Now look in your library for that citation (search for it). Is it there? Does it have the same unique ID?

Re: Hits list + unmatched citations problem!!
I know where to find the unique ID in Bookends, but where would I find out the ID# of the citations that Mellel is using? Thanks for the help.
Re: Hits list + unmatched citations problem!!
Double click on the citation in Mellel to open it, look in the top pane.
