TaskPaper preview
Would it be possible to support .taskpaper files? Bibdesk supports them. They are particularly apt to write overviews of readings. Thanks.

Support in what way?

Thanks for your prompt reply.
So that they can be displayed in BE's attachments panel, the same as pdfs, txt and I don't know what other kind of files.

Re: TaskPaper preview
That would depend upon how the text is stored. If it's, say, XML or RTF, that might be possible. Do you know?

Re: TaskPaper preview
Their extension is .taskpaper, but they are simple .txt files. Just changing a .txt file extension converts it. Both DevonThink and BibDesk display them as text, which is good enough.
Re: TaskPaper preview
Good. If you change the extension to .txt. does Bookends display them? If so, it would be easy to add them to the list of displayable types. Please send me a .taskpaper file.

Re: TaskPaper preview
Hi,
I don't really know becuause BookEnds attempts to import it as a reference. But so it does with any original .txt file. I guess I am missing something, I am a new user.
In case you are interested to look at one of them, I could post one here but neither .taskpaper nor .txt are allowed in this forum, and the support form doesn't allow attachments.
Thanks.
"TaskPaper files are really just plain text files. You can open them using just about any normal text editor, such as TextEdit. TaskPaper's on-the-fly formatting won't be available, but your lists are available and ready to use. Your data is your data." (http://www.hogbaysoftware.com/products/taskpaper/faq)

Re: TaskPaper preview
Drop it on Bookends with the Shift key held down -- then Bookends will attach it. And please send the file to me directly as an attachment (support@sonnysoftware.com).

Hi again,
I have emailed one to you. Many others can be found online as well, such as:

Re: TaskPaper preview
I've added the ability to display the contents of a Taskpaper document in the display pane and attachment inspector to the next update.
