Strange outcomes

Hello,
I am on 10.9 and on the last versions of BE and of Mellel.
I am getting strange results when trying to create a citation in a paper.
It is referring to an article which is a Book Chapter.
The reference window is as follows:

And when trying to create the bibliographic reference in the Mellel file I get this outcome:

You may see that the reference is presented in two font sizes, and the last line there has an upload in the line and the rest of the line is jumping up, for a reason I don't know why.

Do you have a superscript character (^) in the format order field?

Apparently Yes!
Look at the screen picture of the Format Manager:

But I have no idea how this sign arrived there.
How can I remove it?
