Watch Folder functionality | feature request

Post by Cassady »

Hello All | Jon,

Query:

When I have configured a Watch Folder in BE12 - is there any way to turn-off the following feature: "The file will be moved to the default attachments folder and renamed according to the specifications in preferences."
In other words - can it rather be set-up to "copy/duplicate" the file - or link/index that file, and do everything it currently does, but whilst leaving the original file in it's place, unchanged?

Many thanks!

No, that's not possible. If it's left behind, Bookends will keep trying to copy it every time it inspects the watch folder and finds the pdf there.

Thanks Jon. That's a pity - but given your explanation, I understand why.
