Repeated authors in bibliography

I am having trouble with setting up the formatting for repeated authors in a bibliography. With the option to replace repeated author name by dashes selected, the editor of the book is also replaced by dashes for the second item, and then for the third no dashes are used, just the full author's name.
This is the output I get:

Pope, Alexander, ‘The Rape of the Lock’, in The Rape of the Lock and other poems, 3rd edn, ed. by Geoffrey Tillotson (London: Methuen, 1962),
———, The Iliad of Homer, Books X-XXIV, ed. by ——— (London: Methuen, 1967)
Pope, Alexander, The Major Works, ed. by Pat Rogers (Oxford: Oxford University Press, 2006)

(the editor for the second book should be Maynard Mack)

I'm using version 12.1.1, with Mellel, if that makes any difference.
