I write for a few journals that require their bibliography to be formatted by
1. First author surname, then
2. Year, then
3. Number of authors
Is it possible to achieve this in Bookends? So far I've only found how to sort by first author surname then date. I'm running bookends 12.1.2 with Mellel 3.3.2.

Sort by number of authors
Re: Sort by number of authors
There is the option to sort by First Author, Date, Other Authors.

Re: Sort by number of authors
Sorry, I got that the wrong way round: the sort is by:
1. Author surname, then
2. Number of authors, then
3. Year or alphabetical
See http://www.palass.org/modules.php?name= ... age=193#26 for how they've written it. This journal also asks for third level sorts to be chronological for one & three or more authors, and alphabetical for two authors. Is this possible currently, or could be added?

It's not possible to cover every conceivable method by which one could possible sort references. Given its rarity (I've never seen anything like it), it's unlikely we'd add such a sort option.
