Search field > main window?

Post by kga1978 »

Hi,

I don't like using my mouse too much unless I really have to. I use BE with gDocs extensively (plugin soon maybe?) and I find myself shifting to BE from my browser often. Then I hit command-option F to get to the search field, enter in my search, and hit enter. Now, I'd like to select the reference that I found - BUT I can't seem to find a keyboard shortcut that'll get me from the search field to the main window (where I can then hit command-Y once the correct reference has been selected with the arrow keys). Am I missing something or is this not currently possible?

Thanks
Jon

It depends on whether the right pane is open or not. But if it's not, tab will get you from the Live Search box to the reference list.

Ah, I see. I always have the right pane open so the tab command wasn't working. No big deal - for this type of job I'll just close the right pane and Tab away!

Look under the View menu for all the keyboard shortcuts you can use to toggle the open/close state of the various panes.
