Faster browsing and finding references

I want to prevent a group (of refs) from appearing in All, is this possible? I tried working with Smart SQL folders but the refreshing takes too long, hence my question. I am looking for a faster way to work with two different sets of groups of refs. They are related so I can't separate them into two databases.

No. All means "all".

You could also place those references in a static group, and in a smart search (a regular smart search) tell Bookends to exclude references from that group.
