Exclude a specific citation from "ebenda"

Post by Thesis_Writer »

Dear Sir or Madam,

I have a question regarding Bookends feature to replace recurrent citations with "ebenda". Is there a possibility to exclude a specific citation from "ebenda"? There is sometimes the issue that I have the same citation on the last place of a page as well as on the first of the following. A new page should never start with "ebenda" so I want Bookends to do a full citation of that specific literature. Is there a letter or a sign which I could include to Bookends sniplet in Word to tell it not to use "ebenda"? Of course, I could type the citation without Bookends, that would work, too, however, when I move through the text and add something I might want to have "ebenda" later, so it would be great to simply add a letter or something like this.

Thanks for your help in advance!

Kind regards,
Joerg

No, there is no mechanism for excluding a particular citation from any special treatment given when a reference is cited twice in a row. My suggestion is that you enter the citation as you want it as text, highlight the text in some way, and before submission look through the ms for that highlight and either unhighlight it (if it is still correct) or replace it with a temp citation and scan (if you have moved it somewhere other than the beginning of a page/section).
