Short title error with MLA 7th Edition

Hi there,

I'm experiencing weird behavior with Bookends whereby the application keeps inserting the short title for an entry into multiple in-text citations, despite the fact that I am only citing one work (a book) by this author and so there should be no ambiguity about the entry. This happens for certain authors but not all of them. As I understand it, the short title should only be inserted when you're citing multiple works by the same author. I've spent a considerable amount of time trying to resolve this issue without success, and am growing a bit frustrated.
