Dear Jon,
Is it normal that Bookends becomes very slow when I move across different groups (all, attachments, smartgroup staticgroup) while having the tag pane selected ?

No, it is not. Rebuild your database. If you still have this problem please zip your database and send it as an attachment to support@sonnysoftware.com
