Watched Folder not working in El Capitan

Post by Rocky Vega »

The Bookends watched folder is not working. I have set up the watched folder twice, both times without any PDFs inside the folder. After moving some PDFs to the folder, the PDFs are not imported. Anyone else having the same issue?

I am having the same issue. I have my watch folder set up via Dropbox with an alias on the desktop. I launched Bookends, ensured the watch folder was properly configured (it was), copied 5 pdf files into the alias which were properly loaded to Dropbox, and then nothing. I've "stopped watching" and then restarted watching several times. Still nothing. Any solutions?
Cheers,
Dave

1. Make sure you're not using an early build of 12.6.2, that had a bug. Download 12.6.2 again and see if it works.

2. I'm not sure an alias will work. If a new download of 12.6.2 fails, contact tech support directly and explain exactly how your setup is configured.

Hi Jon

just upgraded to 12.6.3 but watch folders does not work. Even changed to a new folder to make sure. Bookends finds the location and is watching but does not import the pdfs.
