[wish] Don't use a modal dialog to confirm an import

Post by iandol »

Hi, at the moment if we import from Pubmed search, bookends browser or from a file or clipboard, a modal dialog pops up telling us how many refs were imported. The dialog forces us to click or [enter] it. It is useful to know how many refs were imported, but could BE use a non-modal way of communicating, ideally using system notifications etc.?

Unless there is a regression, you'll see this in the next update.

Just to say this is working perfectly in 12.6.4 (using the OS X notifications system too), and will speed up doing lots of importing. Thanks Jon!
