Hello Jon,
Per APA 6th, when a work has three, four, or five authors, all of them should be cited the first time the reference occurs. However, Bookends only accounts for two authors; anything over that number and I get a First Author, et al. (Date) in the in-text citation. Ex. Chen, et al. (2015) instead of Chen,
Fang, Lockee (2015).
There doesn't seem to be a way to fix this in the Citation settings, and unlike APA 5th, there is no Secondary Order option in the Bibliography Options section. How do I make this happen?
I have a attached a pix of my Citation options as they stand now, and you can see how it uses Chen, et al. (2015 for the example int he image as well.
Thanks!
Vidya

That is not the APA 6th we ship, it has been modified. It's using the built-in Author-Date style, not the custom style. You can either modify it yourself, or download APA 6th again from our anonymous FTP site (I assume you're using a modern version of Bookends).

Re: APA 6th - All Authors in First Referenc
Thanks! And that is odd since I am using version 12...I just downloaded the most recent update so haven't had a chance to check it out yet. Ok, I will see what happens with the latest updated version, and if not, I will download from the FTP site.
Re: APA 6th - All Authors in First Referenc
Just downloading a new version won't change things -- this is a modified format and will be in your Custom Formats folder, which Bookends won't touch. Throw the edited version out (delete it), then you'll be using the one we distribute.
