how to change Ibid.?

hello.
a kind of small but irritating problem:

I'm trying to change Ibid. to Ibidem (in italic) and it simply doesn't work! Mellel is inserting always the old Ibid. reference

what am I doing wrong?

I don't know, you didn't say exactly what you did. Have your tried another word processor (e.g. Word)? This would tell us if the issue is Mellel-specific or not.

I have "Live Bibliography" activated in Mellel. maybe this is the problem?
it keeps inserting ibid. in place of my ibidem changed in Bookends.
