extracting refs from formatted bibliography

One of my collaborators sent me some references already formatted (JAMA format). Do you have a suggestion for getting them into Bookends that's better than manually cutting and pasting? I suppose I could use Reference Miner to pull them from pubmed, but that's still quite a bit of work.

Please refer to p. 67 of the User Guide (Creating filters for existing bibliographies). It contains an explanation of the problem, and solutions that may (or may not) work.
