Bookends crashes when searching or clicking on reference

Hey Jon,

I am using a 2014 MPR and at present have about 2200 references in my Bookends library (pdfs saved on the hard drive) . I am overall satisfied with the experience, but I also have very frequent crashes when I either search the titles for a particular term or when clicking on a certain reference. This occurs both when the PDF viewer is open and when it is not. Each time I have to force quit Bookends, reopen it (nothing shows), close it again, and then reopen it for it to work again. This is extremely frustrating and I tend to lose interest in continuing with my work when that happens a couple of times in a row when I am searching for the right references. I have brought this up before (I think), but this was a couple of months ago and even though there were a couple of updates in the meantime, it still occurs on a very very frequent basis. Please fix this. I like Bookends, but I am starting to think that if that continues I will for better or worse (likely the latter) look elsewhere for a reference manager that doesn't crash all the time on me.

It's bugs in Sierra, not Bookends. Please see this thread

Closing the PDF pane isn't enough, you have to close the reference edit pane (on the right), too. Or switch to Summary view, for example.

In my testing this macOS bug has been fixed in High Sierra (due Sept. 25, 2017). There are other PDFKit bugs that are introduced in High Sierra, but at least this one seems to have been fixed. So get High Sierra when it's out.
