small feature request

Post by danzac »

Jon,
I would like to request a "mouse shortcut" for the "Find in PDF" option for notecards. Can I request something like command-click or control-click or option-click to do the "Find in PDF" immediately upon mouse-clicking the notecard? Using the notecards to navigate through an attached PDF would be much easier this way, rather than having to click a note and then do the keyboard shortcut.

Thanks for considering

You already can. Right-click (or Control-click) on the selected notecard and you get the Find in PDF option. If the notecard isn't selected, select it with one click and the right-click on it. No need to use the keyboard.

ah, I didn't notice that contextual menu, thanks.

Have you thought about a preference option which would automatically perform that function when clicking on a notecard? That would be handy and save the step

No. The increase in convenience would be minor -- better to be clear in the UI what is being done so the user knows he's in control.
